Paying attention...

There's been a definite theme running through the last few weeks...

Calling out from my New Willow Moon Dreamboard (18 April)...

... to being the subject (quite amazingly!) of Falan Storm's Luna Letter this month...

to yesterday's reading:
My grandmother was gone before I learned the lesson her letters were teaching: survival lies in sanity, and sanity lies in paying attention...
The reward for attention is always healing.
(The Artist's Way, p. 53)

For the briefest of moments this morning, the sun shone brightly through the window illuminating my agate disk...

I just had time to grab my camera and snap a photo - and it was gone!

Had I not been paying attention, I would have missed it. This briefest of sunny moments in an otherwise grey and windy day would have passed me by, and I know I'd have been feeling all the bluer for it!

As it is, I have a moment caught forever in images and words...

THIS is why I'm re-reading The Artist's Way - to be reminded of what I KNOW, but all too often forget!

  1. Hi Claire, gorgeous board as usual! Paying attention to tiny moments is the best thing we can do, observing and see what they have to teach us, because they will never come back. I'm trying everyday to focus and register (taking a photo) each precious moment around me. Your photos are gorgeous!
